Podimo Norway is known for their collaborations with a range of creators including the likes of comedians Berrum & Beyer, relationship expert Iselin Guttormsen, the health-focused duo Katarina Flatland & Harald Dobloug, and emerging talents like Fetisha Williams.
Omhu collaborated closely with Podimo to evolve their identity from a purely digital brand into a physical environment that reflects the same energy, passion, and love for curious, entertaining, and heartfelt storytelling.
Omhu translated the energy of Podimo’s digital brand into two complementary material and colour palettes, tailored to the space’s two user groups: the podcast creators and the Podimo team of employees who work there daily.
The goal was to create a space that fosters creativity, collaboration, and belonging—energising and inspiring for visiting creators, while offering comfort, focus, and well-being for employees.
In employee-focused areas, such as, communal breakout zones, we developed a warm, inviting palette designed to rejuvenate after long hours on digital devices. The building’s original brick walls were restored, and warm wood tones were introduced throughout the kitchen and dining areas.
In creator-focused areas, bold colour and energy take centre stage. Upon arrival, creators are greeted by an all-blue, installation-like wardrobe with full-wall mirrors for last-minute outfit and makeup checks.
The lobby, with its bold and energising palette, invites visitors into Podimo’s world of curiosity and creativity—featuring a sculptural red, spiralling magazine holder by Swedish artist and designer Gustav Westman, dynamic patterned tile table in pulsating orange and yellow tiles from Palet, and iconic Norwegian pieces such as Terje Ekstrøm’s tubular Ekstrem chair and Peter Opsvik’s ergonomic Variable rocking stool.
The two palettes play off of each other balancing the high energy moments for creators with refreshing and visual mental breaks for employees.
Installation-like, high-intensity experiences lead creators toward their podcast recording rooms, while meeting spaces for employees remain bright and airy, featuring warm, glowing paper lamps and a more delicate use of colour in curated highlights.
The employee palette draws from the same tonal range but applies it with restraint—introducing colour in subtle pops rather than the immersive, saturated environments created for creator zones.
Beyond redesigning the layout, colour and material palettes, and furnishings, Omhu curated a comprehensive styling package for Podimo—art, plants, and accessories that express the brand down to the smallest detail, adding depth and texture to the interior concept.
Every desk was paired with a classic vintage Luxo lamp in a playful assortment of candy reds and vibrant oranges, accompanied by curious plants that introduced fresh green accents throughout the office landscape.
Carefully selected desk items, relevant reads, and design-forward kitchen & lounge accessories added layers of brand character and vibrant colourful touches throughout the entirety of the space — all complemented by a curated selection of artworks, photographs, and prints by Nordic artists and photographers.
